Mean-Green Smoothie Recipe

One of my favorite ways to consume raw greens is drinking smoothies.  I was turned onto this mean-green smoothie recipe a couple years ago from my naturopathic Dr. Sheba Roy when I was pregnant and looking for additional ways to get protein into my diet.  It’s a great smoothie to make for breakfast, and your little tykes will love it too.  It’s loaded with vitamins, minerals, protein and antioxidants which all help to make you look and feel great.  The cilantro brings an added bonus of essential oils and helps to cleanse your body of heavy metals.

Ingredients:
1 Frozen Banana
1 Large Handful Organic Kale
1 Spoonful of Almond Butter
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1 Bunch of Cilantro
Coconut/Almond milk + Coconut water
Ice

*Combine all ingredients into a powerful blender and blitz until smooth!
