A Better You: Embracing Your Worth By Charging More

by | Feb 8, 2021 | A Better You, Women Empowerment

If you’ve ever dreamt of being your own boss, running a 6- or 7-figure business, and living your soul purpose, all while raising a family, Jessica Nazarali teaches you how! This Australia-born powerhouse, who splits time between Sydney and Bali, inspires women to embrace their worth and price their services/products higher.

Six years ago, when I was just starting my blog, I worked with Jessica who helped me clarify my life purpose and how to build my life around my business aspirations.

When it comes to having women step into that bigger thinking, charging more for their time and packages, Jessica ultimately supports women to believe this is possible for themselves. Which is a major feat because how many of us (at least sometimes) think we aren’t good enough or our talents and knowledge aren’t valuable enough to others?

First, she encourages you to have that vision for what you want to achieve and where you want to be, and then incrementally work toward those goals. “Start wherever you are,” she said. “Offer something for free, whether it’s a group program or a coaching consultation. You’ll see clients get results, and then you’ll charge, and then you’ll charge a little more and a little more.” In doing so, you’ll gain confidence to increase prices. If you don’t ever start, you don’t get to progress. Own how much value you have to give and that you should charge for it.

Jessica also advocates for doing 1 or 2 things really, really well, to the best of your ability–instead of doing a lot of different things, mediocrely. A great example is social media: It takes a TON of time and effort to create content and share on multiple platforms. Instead, what if you focused on 1 or 2 platforms? “If you know Facebook isn’t really your jam, don’t do Facebook,” Jessica said. For her, she gets the most traction from LinkedIn; maybe for your business and clientele it’d be YouTube or Instagram. Cater to your strengths and to your audience.

Jessica is a reminder to us all to believe in ourselves, and that that Instagram-worthy life of working remotely in the jungles of Bali is actually attainable.
