I’ve said it a million times how much I cherish family photoshoots to capture moments we can revisit endlessly. I can’t recommend doing it enough! I wanted to give you some family winter photoshoot tips for your upcoming shoots!

We’ve had a couple family photoshoots lately and because I’m pregnant with my third it’s been extra fun and special. Of course, having a bump makes finding the right clothes a bit more challenging–you wanna look good and show off the bump the right way.

 

The Classic Shoot

One shoot was at the Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit. One of our favorite places to spend an afternoon with the kids! I wore a white sweater dress with a belt to accentuate the bump. And I dressed the kids in Burberry outfits–cute and classic. Orange Blossom Photography did such amazing work getting us in the holiday spirit.

The Laidback Shoot

We also did a mini photoshoot with Your Life Photography out in the woods in Macomb Township. These photos have all the right late fall, early winter vibes, dressed in flannels, jeans, and hiking boots, posing with a red truck. Despite what many think, we’re not always as pulled together as we look in the Cadillac Square shoot. We love our laidback look, and so it was important to me to do shoots that show all of us. Dressed up and dressed down.

What a timeless representation of our life. This is our last season just the 4 of us before we add another baby to the mix. It’s bittersweet to document stages in our family’s evolution. I highly recommend it!
