After receiving a message on Instagram asking what type of workouts I do, I wanted to give you some insight into my fitness routine so you can get your workout flow on too!

I’ve been following your IG for a while and it looks like you have a personal trainer, what type of workouts do you do? Do you take any group classes?
Response:
I do a combination or circuit training and HIIT. They are similar styles, but with HIIT there’s an intense set of 100% effort followed by a short rest period. You do this over and over… It’s exhausting! This is to keep my heart rate up in the optimal fat-burning zone for as much of the training session as possible. I try and throw in cardio before or after a workout if my schedule permits it and if I am not too wiped out.
I’ve been working out with a personal trainer for about 4 years. Currently, I have two different trainers with whom I work 3 days per week. On my off days, I try and go for a walk outside or use my resistance bands inside for a quick workout while my son naps…although there’s no guarantee that always happens!
As far as group classes, I do enjoy group classes, but currently I’m not taking any. I am thinking about joining a barre studio in my area soon though.
Here’s a glimpse into a typical workout. We shot this video last week during a Wednesday morning session at my studio. It’s mostly a butt workout but as you can see it still wore me out!
