The transition to eating clean can be overwhelming and oftentimes confusing. I try and encourage others to start small and work their way up. Start with replacing one “bad” thing (dairy milk) for one “good thing” (almond milk).
I put together this simple list of staples for a friend of mine who was heading to Whole Foods for the VERY first time (I sincerely wish I could have made it there to be her Whole Foods Ambassador)!

1. For Produce: I always (ALWAYS) recommend shopping local at your farmers markets first, to ensure maximum freshness and nutrients. Even before heading to Whole Foods! And…
2. Look for the labels! Organic, Fair Trade, Raw, Green, Non-GMO, Gluten-Free
