You can never predict how much life will change when you have children. From the time you bring them home from the hospital, to when you are celebrating milestones, “baby’s firsts” and everything in between. Life passes by so quickly. We only have memories and the feelings we hold within our hearts. Who can really remember the day-to-day activities of those first few months and years we spend just trying to care for them and ourselves? I can still remember writing Romans Birth Story! And now Roman is 2!
Becoming a mother has been the absolute greatest source of happiness I have ever experienced. Watching my son develop and morph into a little person full of personality, silliness, and love for the world over these past two years has been amazing! He is everything I could have ever hoped for.
To honor this stage in life and celebrate his second birthday we did a studio photo shoot with him. My goal was to capture as many of his adorable expressions as we could so we just let him have fun in the studio and be himself. We played Kaskade and Bruno Mars music on repeat, I gave him all sorts of snacks, and let him run around in a just a diaper. It was a day I will never forget.
When I received the proofs back, I fell in love with them all. Have you ever tried to pick just a few photos of your child when you LOVE all of them? It’s painful!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from his two year old birthday shoot. As you can see I loved them so much I ended up having an Andy Warhol inspired photo collage made which we used on display for his birthday party (recap blog and video coming soon).
Special thanks to my amazing photographer Mar Manzanares for capturing these priceless moments for us!
XOXO
