Spring Solstice Crystal and Meditation Workshop

by | Mar 28, 2019 | Change, Lifestyle

I’m all about manifesting good energy and supporting myself and other women to come together to harness our inner goddesses and celebrate our power and femininity.

That’s what drives almost everything I do as a woman and mother. And so on March 20, the spring equinox, I co-hosted a Spring Solstice Crystal Workshop with my long-time friend and fellow local blogger Kari of @dontdresslikeamom. The night was magical! JaiJay of Boston Tea Room lead 18 of us women through guided meditation, prayer, and an educational discussion about how to use crystals to enhance our lives through wellness, love, and prosperity.

Kari and I personally knew half the women and the other half we met that evening; what a perfect mix of personalities and backgrounds. Building friendships and forging new ones. Everyone was local from across Detroit Metro. We held the event on the full moon at Kari’s parents’ home and had (mostly) plant-based snacks from Whole Foods and Trader Joes.

Our priestess JaiJay is super knowledgeable, explaining all the health and healing benefits of each crystal. JaiJay did a guided color meditation, focusing on all the chakras, full of affirmations like “I am powerful!” Each woman received 5 crystals, a palo santo stick, and a sage smudge stick which help cleanse your space, attracting good energy and warding off bad energy. She also facilitated a Q&A so everyone could ask questions and spark conversations.

The workshop for each woman was equally personal as well as therapeutic as a group since we all opened up and welcomed others to do so too. Some shared about loved ones who have passed away. Some spoke about the importance of honoring our relationships with our mothers–no matter if they’re good or bad. Others discussed the importance of changing generational abuse and struggles. We created a safespace to come together and share and be a part of a sisterhood.

I witnessed so many beautiful connections between strangers; people left changed and enlightened. My heart felt so full! Happy full moon !

More events like these are in the works so stay tuned for updates here and on social media. Make sure you’re following along on Instagram @bridjetp!
